Estate Planning 101
Making Sense of it All
Available spots
Service Description
Take the mystery out of the many issues surrounding planning for the end of life or serious illness. End-of-life planning is a hard thing to ace, and it's made even more difficult by confusion and misunderstanding regarding legal issues. Participants will gain a better understanding of their options and receive practical advice in plain English regarding wills, trusts, power of attorney, living trusts and administering an estate following death. Questions addressed include: What's the job of an estate administrator? What is the difference between a will and a trust? Is a will necessary to appoint a guardian for children? Can a power of attorney just be downloaded from the internet? There will be time for individual questions. Erica Johnson is an attorney and partner, estate planner and frequent presenter.
