Service Description
In Part 2 we will focus on the brief period from 1967 to 1979 during which more than 25% of the movies on the “greatest” list were made. Through the viewing of film clips from some of the most famous movies ever made, we’ll learn what led to this prolific era in filmmaking and spawned the careers of the likes of Spielberg, Lucas, Coppola, Scorsese, and others. FYI : In Part 1 of this class, we traced the movie business from 1902 to 1960 using the American Film Institute’s 100 Greatest American Films of All Time as our guide. You do NOT need to have taken Part 1 to attend and enjoy Part 2. Course will be held in the Forum Theater at Koelbel Library ( 5955 South Holly Street, Centennial , 80121). Class size is limited to 39 due to theater's capacity. NOTE: The first session only of the class will meet from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. This is to allow participants to enjoy the RECCS annual luncheon earlier in the day. The second and third sessions meet from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. Don Hart, retired CCSD Language Arts teacher, and former television situation comedy writer.
