History and Appreciation of Film Part 1

Service Description

Everyone loves the movies! With today's technology (almost) nothing is impossible to find and watch! Learn about the various movies that made this prestigious list and why, and view clips from some of the most famous films in history. This class will cover the movie business from the early 1900's to the early 1960's. Topics will include the Golden Age of Hollywood, the rise (and fall) of the studio system, film noir, and many others. You'll also learn how you can find and view many of these movies . Please note that this class is a repeat of the RECCS film class taught in February/March 2023. Don Hart, retired CCSD Language Arts teacher, and former television situation comedy writer.
