Available spots
Service Description
Cherry Creek School District surrounds Cherry Creek State Park with its 850-acre reservoir and 2,000 acres of public land. Herds of white-tailed and mule deer, coyotes, fox, pheasant, rabbits plus a wide variety of birds live in a unique setting in a suburban community. A state park ranger will lead a walk on a trail stopping along the way to discuss how various forms of wildlife get by in an urban environment. In addition, a raptor handler will bring an eagle! Madison (Maddy) Martin from the Education and Programs Department at Cherry Creek State Park will lead the walk. It will be about one mile round trip on paved and packed gravel trail. RECCS is organizing a car pool from the both west and east park entrance to the meeting spot for participants.
