Service Description

This course introduces fundamental principles and applications of forensic science in criminal investigations, with a particular focus on cold cases. Topics include the historical development of forensic knowledge, advances in fingerprinting, evidence collection, and the expanding role of DNA in solving crimes. Fremont Building - 14603 East Fremont Ave, Centennial, CO 80112 Katie Barrett has a degree in biology and chemistry. She taught science and forensics at Horizon Middle School. She has long been a fan of true crime and forensic advancements. After retiring, Katie volunteered in the Cold Case Unit at the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office. She read cases, provided summaries, and piloted new methods of forensic investigation.
