Service Description
Have you ever bought a blooming African violet from a big box store only to have it stop blooming and die within a week or two? Do you have a large African violet that has now overgrown its pot and hasn't bloomed in a long while? Do you want to give these lovely bloomers another chance? This class is taught by a long-time grower and winner of many violet shows. It will teach you all the tricks to successfully grow African violets even in natural light. You will even get to plant a leaf or small plantlet and walk away with a "goody bag" for successful growing. There will be prizes as well! Fremont Building is at 14603 E. Fremont Ave., Centennial 80112. Deb Carnevale has been growing violets for many years. She started as a hobbyist grower with a few violets. Then after retiring from teaching science at Overland High, she got serious about growing, selling , and showing her violets. Now she has close to 200 violets in various states of growth. Deb was President of the Rocky Mountain African Violet Council and President of the South Metro Violet Bloomers Club. She won many awards at the Rocky Mountain African Violet Council shows including Best Standard, Best Semi-Miniature, and Best Miniature to name just a few. Deb has given classes in African Violet culture at Tagawa Gardens in Parker and at several garden clubs in the metro area.
