Service Description
What is a "good death"? How can you increase your chances of having one? This class will help you answer this for yourself. You will come away with information and potential action steps that go beyond the simple advance directive and living wills with which we might be familiar. This class is a one-day version of what is normally a four- or six-session class. A two-hour presentation will be followed by a lunch break/time of reflection and another two hours for questions and discussion. This would be a wonderful course to take with a loved one. Ron Adams developed this course along with his best friend and personal physician Dr. Phil Ptacin in Michigan. Ron has facilitated this course in both Michigan and in Colorado. He is a lifelong community educator and facilitator. He will be presenting with Crispyn Sargent, a long-term Denverite who is a death doula, advance care planning guide, a professional care advocate and an expert on Medical Aid in Dying law in Colorado. She will bring valuable, hands-on experience to the course content. Smoky Hill Library, 5430 South Biscay Circle, Centennial, 80015
