Service Description
Origami transforms paper into an exquisite piece of craft. It creates something you can display, present as a gift, or simply duplicate to perfection. More importantly, origami can teach "life lessons" such as patience, focus, humility and acceptance. If you've ever marveled at how a small, single piece of paper can be transformed into spectacular shapes, this class may be your ticket to hours of enjoyment and creativity. Along the way, we will learn a bit of history, how to fold and crease, and to bend paper into friendly animals, geometric shapes, and unique pride-worthy crafts. No experience preferred! Supplies provided in registration: small paper square, and printed directions with 3-D diagrams. Jim will offer detailed personal instruction and time to practice. Homework optional. Location will be sent to registrants. Class limited to 8 participants. Folder (and RECCS U Founder) Jim Brickey became fascinated with origami 12 years ago when a friend gave him 1,000 paper cranes. Though not a true artist, Jim is proficient, enjoys folding paper and helping others create origami shapes.
